“The human spirit must prevail over technology.”

As AI penetrates mindsets and markets, it is easy to get fixated on ‘the technology’ and a promise of linear transformation. We believe that AI-enablement goes beyond fitting a business problem to the capabilities of compute, data and algorithms, and instead calls for a design-oriented understanding of how and why you engage with it.

We are a research-led AI advisory practice focused on the financial services ecosystem. Our purpose is to empower you to thrive responsibly in an AI-penetrated world.

Our approach is grounded in the behavioural sciences and focuses on helping you develop configurations of people, process, technology, and data competencies attuned to deliver meaningful outcomes. To this end, we merge extensive financial-industry practitioner expertise with multi-disciplinary, socio-technical research insights on the intersection between human judgment and artificial intelligence.

Through interactive techniques such as immersive learning, participatory observation, and social listening, we help you develop a situated understanding of how people across your value chain interact with technologies at consequential decision-making nodes. This informs outcome centric interventions, designed for responsible, human-centred, AI-augmented organisational success.

AI Executive Academy

It is no longer sufficient for decision makers to have a peripheral awareness of AI that is derived primarily from tech-led narratives about its transformational potential for everyone everywhere.

Rather, you need to develop a level of AI-literacy that is specifically attuned to your field of expertise, leveraging your capabilities. This calls for a deep understanding of AI’s use, influence, and implications across your value chain, going beyond standard tool-and-feature or productivity narratives and not restricted to technologists. We recognise that each key decision-making role within your organisation, whether at C-Suite or line-of-business, has its unique needs and challenges.

Our approach to delivering AI literacy is accordingly highly bespoke and context specific. We bring domain expertise from financial industry practitioners combined with research-led thought leadership to help you develop your competencies for value creation through AI.

Our methods engage immersive learning, delivered through interactive workshops with context-specific case studies and collaborative artefact construction, designed to encourage critical thinking. The focus is on developing AI literacy that confers context, competence, and credibility with which to augment your decision-making skills and stakeholder relevance.

We deliver context-specific AI literacy for decision makers.

Look Within. Think Beyond.

What are the most impactful questions you need to reckon with in boosting business performance in AI-penetrated ecosystems?

How could you augment human judgement at critical decision-making nodes in your value chain?

What configuration of people, process, technology, and data competencies do you need for profitable & responsible growth?

Cognitive Design Practice

Organisations are increasingly under pressure to deploy AI at great pace. With this, the general expectation is that user engagement is predictable and linear. Yet, there is flux in the way people interact with technology and in behavioural outcomes that arise thereof. This puts investments and adoption of specific tools and platforms at risk and presents formidable challenges in calibrating returns. Our mission is to engage behavioural insights to help organisations deliver desirable human-AI outcomes by design.

Cognitive Design Practice frames our approach to navigating complex opportunities and challenges at the intersection of business, people and AI. Using participatory methods, social listening and research-led approaches, our team of strategists, behavioural scientists and designers help you understand human-AI interaction in context. Through these methodologies, Cognitive Design Practice formulates targeted interventions that are prototyped, tested and piloted to develop human-AI configurations that deliver meaningful outcomes.

We deliver impact through design.

Look Within. Think Beyond.

Where do you locate human judgement in your core processes?

Are you designing for human-centred resilience?

Is ‘the prompt’ engineering you?

Partnered Acceleration

Our Partnered Acceleration programme lies at the intersection of innovation and collaboration. We understand that you need something more than just technology; you need a strategic compass to navigate the evolving technology landscape. From our experience, we know this is not easy, and that building credibility as well as trust with stakeholders can be challenging.

We offer a collaborative think tank which works to curate an ecosystem that brings together industry practitioners, behavioural experts and technologists. As a multidisciplinary team with cross-geography experience, we will also empower you and your team, articulating your technology story, locating your AI-value proposition, and working to outline a roadmap for profitable and responsible growth.

Whether you are looking to enhance product offerings, improve customer engagement, or drive operational efficiencies, we will amplify your path to success at scale.

We deliver collaborative think-tank capabilities.

Look Within. Think Beyond.

How could you articulate your AI story and calibrate returns on AI investment?

How should you design to avoid costly reputational mistakes?

How could you use a collaborative think-tank to grow your business exponentially?
